Custom Envelopes · Tampa BayThe first thing they see is the envelope.
An envelope decides whether the piece inside gets opened. Envelope printing matched to your letterhead makes invoices, proposals and mailers read as professional before a word is read, and the right size and window spec keeps your mail room and the USPS both happy.

Window or non-window envelopes?
It comes down to what you mail and how it gets addressed.
| Factor | Window | Non-window |
|---|---|---|
| Addressing | Printed on the document inside | Printed or labeled on the envelope |
| Best for | Invoices, statements, forms | Letters, cards, marketing pieces |
| Setup requirement | Document layout must align to window | None |
| Perceived formality | Operational | Personal and professional |
| Cost at volume | Lower, no addressing step | Addressing adds a step |
| Design freedom | Window placement constrains layout | Full surface available |
Custom Envelopes FAQs.
What envelope sizes do most businesses need?
A #10 for letters and invoices covers most operational mail, a 9x12 for documents that should not fold, and an A7 if you send cards or announcements. If you mail statements, a #10 window plus a #9 reply envelope is the classic pair. We stock specs for all of them.
Can you print full designs on envelopes, not just a return address?
Yes, up to full-bleed color across the face and flap. The constraint is postal: certain zones must stay clear for addressing and barcodes, and we check every design against USPS regulations before it prints so the beautiful envelope also actually mails.
Do printed envelopes really affect whether mail gets opened?
For marketing mail, measurably. An envelope with a recognizable brand, a teaser line or unusual color survives the sort-over-the-recycling-bin moment far better than a plain white #10 with a label. For operational mail the win is professionalism: the invoice looks like it came from a real firm.
What do we need to know about window envelopes?
The document inside has to be laid out so the address shows through the window across normal shifting. We set up the letterhead and the envelope together, test the fold, and keep the template so every future statement lands in the window. Bought separately, this is exactly what goes wrong.
What quantities make sense to order?
Envelopes store well, so the economics favor larger runs: per-piece cost drops steeply between a box of 500 and 2,500. For stable designs we quote a year's usage; for campaigns we run the campaign quantity. Specs stay on file either way, and reorders are one email.
