Brand Identity & Design · Tampa Bay

An identity that survives contact with a truck door.

Plenty of identities look excellent in a presentation and fall apart the moment they have to be a vehicle magnet, an embroidered polo and a favicon. Because we produce the printed work as well as the digital, we design identities against the surfaces they actually have to survive.

Questions we get

Brand Identity & Design FAQs.

What is included in a brand identity project?

Logo and lockup variations, a color palette, typography, supporting graphic elements, and guidelines documenting correct use. We also produce the applications. Website, signage, vehicle graphics, apparel, because an identity that has never been applied has not really been tested.

How is a brand identity different from a logo?

A logo is one element. An identity is the whole system, color, type, imagery, spacing rules and the standards that keep it consistent when four different people use it. Buying only a logo is why so many small businesses look inconsistent within a year.

Do we need brand guidelines if we are a small team?

Once more than one person produces materials, yes. Without documented standards the identity drifts, and drift is what makes a small business look improvised. The guidelines do not need to be a hundred pages. They need to be clear and actually used.

Will our colors work for accessibility?

We test them rather than assume. Plenty of attractive brand palettes fail contrast requirements for text, which creates both a legal exposure and a real usability problem. Where a brand color cannot pass, we develop a compliant variant for text use and keep the original for large elements.

How long does a brand identity project take?

Typically 6 to 10 weeks for identity and guidelines, longer if applications across web, print and apparel are included. The slow part is usually decision-making rather than design, so a clear approver on your side shortens it considerably.
